White and Blue

Hello girls!

I would like to show you what I like to wear with skinny jeans, even thought it doesn't look so great at the picture. This loose T-shirt is great because it:

1) is comfortable
2) is airy
3) drives the attention away from my hips

Therefore I think it is the great match for girls with curvy body type who still wants to wear skinny jeans and feel good, however it looks good even on skinny girls ;-)

Enjoy he day!

Denim dress

Hello girls!

I would like to show you my little trick how I make some of my clothes wearable even at work. It is one of my "casual Friday" outfits.

Unfortunately this wouldn't work for those of you working in the companies with strict dress code.

Even though I don't have dress code at my current work (internship) I feel inappropriate walking around office with the naked shoulders and back.
For that reason I was happy when I found this "half-shirt" during one of my visits at my favourite outlet shop. I can not tell the brand of this useful piece of cloth as the brand name was cut of :-(

So what about you? Do you use some similar "trick" to be able to wear you favourite pieces more often?

Have a nice week,

Kristyna

PS
I have forgotten to take the badge off at most of the pictures and I was not able to shoot another pics, so please accept my apologies ;-)

Scarf makes the difference!

Hello everybody!

I could not decide which scarf is the best fit with my gray hat so I made a picture of all of them and you can decide! I am wearing the same outfit on all the pictures, just the scarfs are different. On the third picture I put the sweatshirt off so you can see the detail of the T-shirt, but maybe there is too much of black in that combination?

So what do you think? Which one and why?

Have a lovely day!

Kristyna

PS
I am wearing Levi's jeans, Shulong sneakers, Carling top, Pimkie hat, Converse bag and New Yorker earrings on all the pictures.
Than unknown brand of sweatshirt (it was a present I think from Thailand) and gray scarf (1st pic) form the shop at "Narodni trida", Prague(unfortunately I don't remember the name of the shop, it is close to the metro station), also unknown brand of scarf on the 2nd pic (bought on the Clemencau market) and on the 3rd pic it is Time-Out scarf.

Black, grey, white, pink and red?

HELLO!

I tried to cheer the black & gray combination with the warm colors. I bought this jumper in C&A in sales (for about 3 EUR, which is deal good enough to buy it even though pink is not my favorite color :-) )

 solution
for the bad hair  day

hat - Pimkie

jumper - C&A

jeans - Levi's

scarf - Time Out

shoes - Converse

bag - Converse

What about you? What was the last thing you bought even thought it was not really your color, but it was to cheap to leave it there?

Have a great day!

...turn a baggy T-shirt into fitted nice T-shirt

Are you one of those people who can not refuse a promotional shapeless T-shirt, especially if it is for free? Or in the worse case some of your fashion senseless relatives is used to bring you such a baggy T-shirt as travel gift? Yes i know it would be good as nightgown. Be honest - it is true till you get a boyfriend. Than those horrible pieces of fabrics end somewhere deep deep in the closet and can stay there for years as it is shameful to give them to somebody and even more worse to throw them out as it would be horrible waste (I wore it just once!). So now you can see my solution of such an awkward situation!

I was inspired by this You Tube post: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r81KLGqdVoI&feature=related but than I found this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsesXTShep8&feature=related and used the technique for the sides of the T-shirt. I think that the result is quite good and do you know what is the best thing on this project? No sewing!

1. Draw the line (blue) to define the new width of the T-shirt.
(I wanted to have the upper part a bit looser)

2. Cut of ( red) the collar and both sleeves.

3. Cut the sides of the T shirt so that i got less or more similar stripes.

4. Pull the fabric in the place where you cut of the collar and the sleeves. The fabric will scroll.

5. Pull the stripes in the same way.

6. Use the technique from the second link to twine the strips (You can go over one or two, depends on the width of the stripes) and knock them at the end.
